Cllr. Ed Bridges and the Gabalfa Lib Dem Focus Team are representing residents over Tesco's plans to open a store at Parkfield House on North Road.

Lib Dems in Gabalfa ward have been listening to residents' views over plans to open a new Tesco store at Parkfield House on North Road.

Cllr. Ed Bridges told us: "We alerted all the properties in the nearby area to the application and asked residents to contact us with their thoughts on the application. The majority of residents who got in touch said they were in favour of the scheme, although there were also a number who opposed the plans."

The Lib Dem Focus Team have written to the Planning Department to represent all the views put to them, and have asked for all the technical concerns over the practicalities of the application to be taken on board.

John Dixon, Lib Dem Parliamentary spokesman for Cardiff North, added: "There were issues raised over parking at the site, security in the rear car park, and how deliveries to the new store would be managed. We have made sure that the Planning Department are aware of these concerns and have asked for them to be looked into."
